Maulevrier Oriental Park

Maulevrier Oriental Park

It is in the northwest quarter of our beautiful country that the park is recognized to be, in Europe, the most emblematic of the art of gardens in the land of the rising sun. We are at Château Colbert, 20 km from Puy du Fou, on the borders of the departments of Maine et Loire, Deux-Sèvres and Vendée. In the 19th century, an architect passionate about Orientalism reinvented the estate's park to make it a "Japanese landscape" imbued with oriental philosophy. If the park offers botanists to open their eyes to 400 varieties of plants, they also invite each to an initiatory journey through the different stages of life. This over the seasons, in calm and serenity.
